Grant Writing

Piggush Engineering has recently secured two CDAP Public Infrastructure and Design Grants. The Village of Cabery was awarded $450,000 in funding, grant 15-242005, to complete the final phase of Water System improvements and the City of Gilman was awarded $440,000, grant 15-242017, to complete Sanitary Sewer improvements in the Northwestern portion of the City. Neil Piggush, PE, LEED AP+ND, CFM

President, Engineering Department Manager

Neil began the firm in December 2013 and brings over 15 years of experience in the construction and civil engineering field to the firm. He is a Professional Licensed Engineer in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Iowa and has worked on a multitude of projects in the field of Civil Engineering. These include but are not limited to: Site Development, Site Grading and Drainage Plans, Stormwater Management, Flood Studies, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling, LEED Design, Water and Sewer System Utility Master Planning and Rate Studies, Traffic Studies, Geometric Highway Design, Pavement Design. He is also a Illinois Certified Floodplain Manager as well as LEED Certified in Neighborhood Development and his experience includes many different project types which include: Municipal, Educational and Industrial, Commercial and Residential Developments. He is a 2005 graduate of the Purdue University, West Lafayette school of Civil Engineering.

Mike Gall

CAD Department Manager

Michael began the firm in December 2013 and has lead the Drafting department in development, creation and direction of Piggush Engineering’s construction document templates and drafting standards. He also has worked for several different firms in the field of civil engineering and brings a well experienced creative edge to the team. When not managing the drafting department, Michael works with generation of existing and proposed topographical surfaces for site balance analysis, concept plan generation as well as generation of site engineering plans for Industrial, Commercial, Agricultural, and Residential developments as well as plan and profile generation for road construction and utility design projects. He has vast experience on all types of Civil Engineering projects, large and small and brings over 17 years of experience in the field of Civil design to the Piggush Engineering team.

Jonathan Cross, IPLS

Land Surveying Department Manager

Jonathan joined Piggush Engineering in December 2014 as the firm’s Land Surveying Department Manager and brings over 12 years of Land Surveying and construction field experience to the team. He has worked for several different firms and is able to bring a youthful and experienced aspect of Land Surveying to Piggush Engineering. Jonathan has experience in and performs the following fieldwork and drafting related to: Boundary Surveys, Topographical Surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Plats of Subdivision, Plats of Consolidation, Plats of Easement, Plats of Vacation, Foundation Surveys and Construction Staking and Layout. He is a 2006 graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in Advanced Technical Studies, Land Surveying. He has been an Illinois licensed professional land surveyor since 2013.

Cotrell Moore

CAD Technician II

Cotrell joined Piggush Engineering in May 2016 and works as a Cad Technician II. He uses computer aided design programs to draft concept plans, exhibits, surveys and site engineering plans which include relevant details such as materials, dimensions, and industry appropriate standards. He earned a degree from ITT Technical Institute in Drafting and Design in 2010 and currently works with the Land Surveyor and Project Engineer to create detailed visual representations of various types of land surveys and site engineering plans.

Kim Stroud

CAD Technician II


Kim joined Piggush Engineering in May of 2017 as a CAD Technician II. She will be working with our Engineering and Land Surveying departments to create detailed visual representations of land surveys and site engineering plans. She began her career in the Land Surveying field in 1987 and has been in the Civil Engineering field since 1999. Kim has worked for Civil Engineering firms in Houston, TX and Beaufort, SC. She has a wide variety of experience in the Civil Engineering field, including land development, site development, permitting, GIS mapping and construction observation.

Jim Gromer

Construction Observer III

Jim joined the Piggush Engineering team in June 2014 and has lead the inception of the firm’s Construction Observation/Administration Department and is the lead Construction Observer for the firm. He brings over 35 years combined experience in the public and private sectors and worked for Illinois Department of Transportation, District 3 as a Resident Technician and Engineering Technician. His duties include daily inspection reporting, quality assurance, field quantity verification, project coordination, photographic field documentation, punchlist generation and project closeout.

Michael Hildebrand

Construction Observer I

Michael joined the firm in September 2014 and brings his 30 years of experience in the public sector and his 15 years as a Township Road Commissioner to the firm as a Construction Observer I. His duties include daily inspection reporting, quality assurance, field quantity verification, project coordination, photographic field documentation, punchlist generation and project closeout.

Jeremy Delby

Survey Technician

Jeremy joined Piggush Engineering in September of 2016 as the firm’s second field crew surveyor, and brings five years of experience to the team. Jeremy has experience in and the ability to perform various aspects of field work related to Topographical Survey, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey, Foundation Surveying and Staking, Boundary Survey, and Construction Staking. Jeremy’s work in the field will help to provide detailed and accurate measurements to both our CAD Technicians and Project Engineer to create site maps, surveys, and construction plans.

Timothy LaRocque

Project Engineer I

Timothy joined Piggush Engineering in June 2017 as a Project Engineer and brings over 6 years of experience in civil engineering and construction. He is a Professional Licensed Engineer in Illinois. His work experience includes but is not limited to Roadway Design, Storm Sewer Design, Pavement Design and Management, and Construction Observation on Local Agency and Illinois Department of Transportation projects. Timothy is a 2010 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Deanna Prairie

Office Manager

Deanna joined Piggush Engineering in June 2015 as the firm’s Office Manager. She brings 10 years of Office and Project Management experience. Her previous experience includes working as an Administrative Manager for an Automotive Manufacturer and managing large scale projects in the Energy Efficiency sector. She is new to the industry, but very familiar with Office and Project Management. Deanna holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
