There’s a difference between the way it’s always been done and the way it can be done better. Therefore, by approaching each problem holistically, we provide relevant, insightful solutions, each and every time.
We’re a professional firm offering civil engineering and land surveying to municipal leaders, private-sector developers, and property owners in Illinois and Indiana.
We’re devoted to improving the quality of life for our communities.
As the premiere civil engineering firm of Kankakee County and of the South Chicagoland region, we address public infrastructure problems faced by our communities’ leaders. Moreover, we help local cities, parks, and school districts secure public funding, and implement quick, forward-thinking solutions to the dilemmas they face.
With unmatched responsiveness and a fine-tuned process, we’re here to ease your stress. Meanwhile, we empower mayors and municipal leaders to have happy constituents by creating safe multimodal transportation construction, efficient drainage systems, and improved city foundations.
When it comes to your property, you need trustworthy, experienced engineers and land surveyors to guide you through the process. Most importantly, whether it’s surveying your land for property upgrades or working through your floodplain remedy options based on your property’s risk, we’re a resource you can count on.
Development is a cornerstone to thriving communities. With our novel approach, we help you mitigate existing drainage issues and construction challenges, as well as potential regulatory issues. Together, we’ll help you navigate facility expansion or capital improvements.
Whether you’re big or small, and corporate, industrial or institutional, we solve the problems that stand in your way.
In 2017, a student at King Middle School wrote a letter to the Mayor of the City of Kankakee. He expressed his concerns about student and crossing guard safety while crossing IL Route 17 (Court Street). Meanwhile, along the frontage of the school, both crossing guards and students were using an unsafe walkway everyday. Then, the City of Kankakee enlisted us as the civil engineering firm to write a grant application to IDOT’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) grant program for proposed safety improvements. The improvements included a raised median, sidewalk improvements and flashing yellow beacons, to name a few.

With a zeal for modern problem-solving, infrastructure experts Neil Piggush and Mike Gall joined forces after years of innovative civil engineering and design experience. Together, they understood that consistent investment into public infrastructure is at the core of thriving and sustainable communities. Neil and Mike founded Piggush Engineering in 2013 on a mission to improve their communities in unprecedented ways.
Since then, we’ve approached every project with enthusiasm, delivering our clients better-than-expected results.
