Piggush Engineering was contracted by Kankakee Community College to improve their existing loading dock facility area. The existing loading dock had failing and cracked concrete, poor drainage resulting in standing water and the dock bumpers were past their useful life cycle. This was a full service engineering project that included site engineering design, construction bidding, administration, inspection and project closeout. Site engineering design included replacement of the existing failing concrete on the dock, resolve drainage issues and improve access to the loading dock by removing the old concrete steps and adding a ramp, which allowed dolly cart access. This project needed to be completed expeditiously. The timeline and budget for this project were both met.
